Prayers for the faithful departed

are planned: September 15 at 2:30 p.m. at Pinecrest Cemetery, September 22 at 2:30 p.m. at Notre Dame and at 3:15 p.m. at Beechwood Cemetery and October 20 at 3:00 p.m. at Hope.

There will be no 11:00 a.m. nor 12:30 p.m. Holy Mass on Sunday, September 29.

That day Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m.

Karol Wojtyła in St. Hyacinth Parish 1969-2019

Sunday, September 29, Celebrations’ Schedule: at 11:30 a.m. the Solemn Mass followed by the unveiling and blessing of a commemorative plaque, after that, at 1:30 p.m., a gala banquet at Sala San Marco. That day – Sunday, September 29 – there will be no Mass at 11:00 a.m. nor 12:30 p.m.

First Holy Communion and Confirmation registration

in the Parish office will last until Friday, September 20. A baptismal certificate of the child/candidate is required and at least one parent (and – in case of Sacrament of Confirmation – the candidate) needs to meet with Parish pastor. 

Devotion to st. John Paul II

will take place on Friday, September 20, after 7 p.m. Holy Mass.

Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion

led us into proper participation of the Holy Week Liturgy. During 11:00 a.m. Holy Mass the Lord’s Passion was solemnly sung by the parish choir.   

Statue of Our Lady of Fatima

The blessing of the new statue of Our Lady of Fatima took place on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, on Saturday, December 8, during Holy Mass at 5 p.m.

Christmas Carol Concert

Children Choir “Iskierki Maryi” invites all to its Christmas Carols Concert on Sunday, December 30, following 12:30 p.m. Mass.

Concert of Polish Songs

   To commemorate the 100th anniversary of regaining Poland’s independence, under the patronage of the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Canada, His Excellency Dr. Andrzej Kurnicki, St. Hyacinth’s Parish in Ottawa organized the Polish Song Concert on October 13, 2018.
